Privacy policy

Levelaur is not on sale yet. Right now this website does one thing: it collects email addresses from people who want to know when it launches. This page explains what that means for your data.

What we collect

Your email address, and only if you type it into the waitlist form yourself. We do not ask for your name, your company, or anything else. There are no analytics scripts, no advertising pixels and no tracking cookies on this site. The waitlist form is our own, so our email provider's tracking script is not loaded here either.

Why we collect it, and on what basis

To email you when Levelaur is available, and to tell you about any trial or early-access offer. That is the entire purpose. You will not be added to a newsletter and we will not email you about anything else.

The legal basis is your consent, under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR and açık rıza under the Turkish KVKK. We collect the address directly from you, from the form on this website, and nowhere else. Giving it is entirely voluntary: there is no contract or law requiring it, and the only consequence of not giving it is that we cannot tell you when Levelaur launches.

Who else sees it

Waitlist addresses are stored with Kit (formerly ConvertKit), the email service that processes them on our behalf so we can send the launch announcement. We do not sell, rent or share it with anyone else, and we do not use it for advertising.

Kit is based in the United States, so your address is stored there. Kit covers that transfer through its data processing addendum, using the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and, where that does not apply, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Signing up is double opt-in: after you submit the form, Kit sends you a confirmation email, and you are only added to the list once you click the link in it. If you never click, the address is not subscribed.

How long we keep it

Until Levelaur launches and the announcement has gone out, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. If the product never ships, the list is deleted.

Your rights

You can withdraw your consent whenever you like. Every email we send has a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing withdraws it. Withdrawing does not make anything we did beforehand unlawful; it just stops it going forward.

You also have the right to ask us to:

Write to hello@levelaur.com and we will action it. You do not need to give a reason, and there is no form to fill in. We do not make any automated decisions about you and we do not profile you. The list is a list of email addresses.

About the product itself

Worth stating plainly, because people ask: Levelaur analyses and mixes audio entirely on your own computer, inside Premiere Pro. Your footage, your audio and your project files are never uploaded anywhere. That is a property of how the software works, not a promise about how we handle data we receive. We never receive it at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will update the date at the top of this page. Since the only data we hold is an email address, any material change would be announced in the email we send you.

Who is responsible for your data

Levelaur is an independent product. Levelaur decides what is collected here and why, and is therefore the data controller for the purposes of the GDPR and the Turkish KVKK. Kit only stores and sends on our instructions.

Levelaur has not launched yet. Writing to hello@levelaur.com reaches the controller directly, including if you want the full name of the person responsible for it, which we will give you if you ask.

Questions about any of this, or a request to see or delete what we hold, go to that same address. If you are in the EU, the UK or Türkiye and you are not happy with how we handled your request, you have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
