In development, an extension for Adobe Premiere Pro

Audio that mixes itself.
Balanced levels, automatically.

No more dragging volume keyframes clip by clip. Levelaur balances your dialogue, music and sound effects across the whole timeline, then ducks the music under every line, right inside Premiere Pro.

One email when it launches. Nothing else.

Your whole timeline, mixed in 60 seconds.

Tested on a 48-minute sequence with 920 clips.

Levelaur is a desktop extension for Premiere Pro. Leave your email here. The demo is best watched on the computer you edit on.

The cut is done. The audio still isn't.

The edit was finished hours ago. The video still can't go up, because the sound is not ready.

The mix eats your upload day

Hundreds of clips, one volume slider at a time. Nudge it, play it back, nudge it again. It is the slowest part of the video and it always comes last.

Music buries your voice

The track sits fine over the intro and swallows a line two minutes later. So you draw keyframes by hand, and they all break the moment you re-cut.

Every video sounds different

One is too quiet, the next is too loud, and viewers reach for the volume. YouTube turns the loud ones down anyway, so the mix you fought for gets flattened.

Four steps, one pass.

Open the panel, pick your sequence, press go. The rest happens on its own.

Nothing is written to your timeline until you say so. Every clip is measured first and the exact change is listed next to it, so you see the whole mix before you press Apply.

Recognise

Levelaur goes through your sequence and sorts every clip into voice, music, sound effects and background, so each one gets handled differently.

Measure

It measures how loud each clip actually is, instead of guessing by ear: integrated and short-term loudness plus true peak, to the EBU R128 standard.

Apply

Clip volume lands where it should, and the music ducks under your voice by itself. Everything is written into your sequence as normal adjustments you can still edit.

Finalise

One level across the whole video, with peaks kept under control, so what you upload is what your viewers actually hear.

What it actually does.

The parts that replace an evening of dragging volume sliders.

Real loudness measurement

Integrated LUFS, short-term loudness and true peak, measured to the EBU R128 standard. These are the same numbers YouTube looks at when it normalises your upload.

Music ducks itself

The track drops under your voice and comes back up in the gaps, following what is happening on screen. No keyframes drawn by hand.

It knows what each clip is

Voice, music, sound effects and background are told apart automatically, so quiet b-roll ambience is never levelled like a talking head.

Nothing is baked in

Every change lands as a normal clip adjustment in your sequence. Tweak any of it, or press undo once and it is gone. Your files are never rewritten.

Made for where you upload

Pick where the video is going, whether that's YouTube, Shorts, Reels or TikTok, and the whole timeline is mixed to land at that platform's level.

Native to Premiere Pro

A panel inside Premiere, working on your real sequence. No exporting stems, no round trip, no second app to learn.

PRIVACY

Your videos never leave your computer.

Everything happens on your own computer, inside Premiere Pro. No footage, no audio and no project file is ever uploaded. There is no server for them to go to. Nothing to wait for, and nothing leaking before the video is public.

  • It all runs on your machine
  • Nothing is uploaded
  • Works with no internet at all

Questions, answered.

Will it work with my version of Premiere?

Levelaur runs on recent versions of Premiere Pro on both Windows and macOS. I'll list the exact supported versions at launch. If you're on something older, drop me a line at hello@levelaur.com and I'll tell you straight.

Does my project have to be organised in a certain way?

It helps if your dialogue, music and sound effects are on separate tracks, which most editors already do. Levelaur reads your track names to figure out what's what, and you can correct it in one click if it guesses wrong.

What if my audio is already mixed?

Levelaur works on whatever is in your timeline. If you've already balanced some clips by hand, you can run it on just the selected clips instead of the whole sequence.

When is it launching?

Soon. I'm testing it on real projects right now. Join the list and you'll be the first to know, before it goes public anywhere else.

Who's building this?

Just me. I'm a video editor who got tired of spending hours on audio after the edit was already done, so I built the thing I wanted. You'll be emailing a person, not a support desk.

What happens with my email address?

It goes on the launch list and nothing else. No newsletter, no spam, no sharing it with anyone. One email when Levelaur is ready, and you can unsubscribe from it in one click. The privacy policy has the detail.
